Who is responsible
Skybuffer AS, organization number 912 244 113 MVA, Strandkaien 61, 4005 Stavanger, Norway, is the controller for personal data processed through skybuffer.com, the Skybuffer AI Agent web chat and our demo systems. You can reach us about privacy at hi@skybuffer.com.
What we collect
Personal data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable person, such as a name, an email address, an online identifier or location data. We collect it in two ways.
- Information you give us: your name, work email, company, SAP release and message when you use a contact or request form; what you write in the web chat; and your name and email if you ask for a user in our SAP demo system.
- Information collected automatically: technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, through server logs and, if you agree, analytics cookies. The Cookie Policy explains these.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- Answering requests and preparing proposals: to take steps you ask for before a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries (GDPR article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Running the web chat: our legitimate interest in answering your questions quickly (article 6(1)(f)).
- Access to our SAP demo system: to provide the access you request (article 6(1)(b)).
- Analytics: your consent (article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time under Cookie Settings.
- Security and abuse prevention: our legitimate interest in protecting the website (article 6(1)(f)).
- Legal obligations, such as bookkeeping (article 6(1)(c)).
The Skybuffer AI Agent web chat
What you write in the chat is used to answer you within the current conversation. The conversation is kept in your browser for up to 12 hours, and you can delete it at any time by starting a new conversation or by sending the message reset.
Answers are generated by a language model [provider and hosting region to be confirmed]. If you ask to be contacted, we pass the conversation and your contact details to a Skybuffer specialist, who replies by email. Please do not share sensitive personal data in the chat.
Our SAP demo system
If you ask for a demo user, we store your name and email in our SAP demo system (SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8), where only you and Skybuffer staff can see them. You can view, edit or delete them with the portal user created for you.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers that process it for us under a data processing agreement, such as our hosting provider [and email and CRM providers, to be confirmed], and with Google for analytics if you consent. If you buy through SAP Store, SAP processes your data under its own terms. We do not sell personal data.
Where your data is stored
The website and its data are hosted in the European Union. Skybuffer staff may access personal data where needed to answer you. When data is accessed from outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as the purpose requires:
- enquiries and related correspondence: [24 months, to be confirmed] after our last contact
- chat conversations: up to 12 hours in your browser
- demo users: until you delete them or the demo period ends
- server logs: [90 days, to be confirmed]
- analytics data: as described in the Cookie Policy
How we protect it
Personal data is kept on secure servers. We use administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to protect it against loss and unauthorized access, use, disclosure or modification. Skybuffer's processes are covered by ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 certificates [confirm the certificates are current], and our employees are trained in data protection.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email hi@skybuffer.com.
If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or to the authority in your country.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we point out significant changes on this page.
